WasteSync has passed all 14 of DEFRA's test cases and we now have approval to connect to the live Digital Waste Tracking system.

This is an important milestone! DEFRA's test cases cover edge cases as well as the easy ones and we're pleased to be ready for production in time for the legislation in October.

Passing means two things. The plumbing between WasteSync and the national service is proven. And we can choose to run our pilot sites against the real system rather than a sandbox, helping our customers get ready for the legislation coming into effect.

The mandate lands in October 2026 for England and January 2027 for Scotland.
